Some of my past studies: click on the picture to see the

     Since 2002, I have been developing studies in different themes. Nevertheless, my current interests lay on bird biology, ecology, and migration.

     Presently, my main interest lies on migration ecology of continental South American birds, especially focusing on species ocurring in Brazilian and surrounding biomes. In this regard, I am looking for ecological aspects associated to the migratory behavior and its effects on individuals fitness.

     Some goals of my main current research are:
1) To further investigate the so called 'carry-over effects' that act on bird migration at the individual level. Especifically, how events faced by individuals at their wintering grounds and migratory journey affect their breeding activities;

    2) To evaluate interespecific interactions occurring among residents and migrants: which interactions do they present and how does it affect each others life-history?

and residents: food and nest predators
