In 2002, I started my Biology undergraduation course. I have got involved in research projects since the second month of classes, working as volunteer at Dr. Ana Maria Costa-Leonardo’s Lab. Later in 2003, I have got a research grant (PIBIC/CNPq) to develop my Bachelor project on testing a hypothesis on colony fusion of an exotic subterranean termite species (Coptotermes gestroi). Our main results and conclusions were published in Sociobiology (PDF). Then, by December 2005 I have graduated in Biology.

In 2007-2009 I was a MsC. Candidate of the Plant Biology Graduate Program at UNESP (Rio Claro), advised by Dr. Marco A. Pizo. My project aimed on describing frugivory interactions and revealing the seed dispersal system of Rhipsalis, an epiphytic Cactaceae (details here). A paper with those data is being prepared and should be published soon.
In 2009-2010, I worked at Dr. Patrícia Morellato’s Lab, developing a collaborative research to elucidate aspects of the fruit-frugivorous vertebrates interaction web in a Brazilian Cerrado fragment.
I developped my Ph.D. at Dr. Miguel Â. Marini’s Lab (Laboratório de Ecologia e Conservação de Aves) at Universidade de Brasília (UnB). (details here)
After 6 months as a post-doc at Dr. Regina Macedo's lab at UnB, I currently have a post-doc position at Universidade Federal do Paraná.
